“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great
love wherewith he loved us.” Eph 2:4
The
love of God towards you is perfect, because it’s based on Him not you; thus
when you fail He still loves. He
demonstrated such great love for you in that: “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom 5:8) Though we are incomplete, God loves
completely. Though we are imperfect, He loves us perfectly. Though we may feel
lost and without compass, His love encompasses us completely. His love is
limitless; like the ocean we can see where it starts but not its end. Remember, His love is based on Him, not you!
True love is not an action after the fact; it is the characteristic of God that
endures each moment.
