Daily Wisdom

2Ki 6:17  “And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see…”

If you look long enough, you’ll eventually find what you’re looking for. But often the delay comes from not knowing what we’re truly looking for in life. It’s like looking for a loved one in a crowd, you’re not distracted by others because you clearly know what to look for. For Elisha’s disciple he was out of focus spiritually, he saw worldly fear rather than the heavenly Father in their situation. The more clearly you can discern the truth of Jesus, the more clearly, you’ll see Jesus in the world around you and not be distracted by fear, confusion, or doubt. It’s hard to spot a stranger… focus on your faith and you’ll start seeing Christ clearly in your situation.

It’s hard to see who you’re looking for when you don’t know who you’re looking for... HSAY
