Daily Wisdom

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”  Psa 139:14 (vss 13-15)

Stop and consider, maybe God closed the door because he knows you are worth so much more than what’s being offered. Don’t get confused between worth and value; job, money, health offer degrees of value in life, but they do not define your worth.  In the same light your value doesn’t decrease based on other’s inability to see your worth.  Self-worth comes from within, it can’t be given to someone nor can you expect another to give it to you.  Don’t let your worth depend on or be measured by something you may lose. Your true worth is not found in your fellowship with others, but in your relationship with Jesus. Knowing who and what you are in Jesus will lesson the concern in who and what your are to others. Jesus has selected you, it matters not who rejected you or neglected you; your worth to HIm outweighs all opposition.

Your worth does not lie in your abilities, but in your identity… as a child of God!
