Daily Wisdom

‘He answered him to never a word.’ Mt 27:14

Patient silence is the best reply to a gainsaying world? Calm endurance answers questions infinitely more conclusively than lofty eloquence. The best apologists for Christianity in the early days were its martyrs. It’s said the anvil breaks a host of hammers by quietly bearing their blows. Did not the silent Lamb of God furnish us with a grand example of wisdom?

The false and the mean, will ere to try and convince and prove themselves, and therefore truth can afford to be quiet, and finds silence to be its wisdom: ‘Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted wise…’  (Pro 17:28).  Our Lord, by his silence, furnished a remarkable fulfilment of prophecy. A long defence of himself would have been contrary to Isaiah's prediction. "He is led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth." (Isa 53:7)

Truth need not to be sold; only opinions; "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt,"… HSAY

Daily Wisdom

Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?” Isa 2:22

Man is prone to entrust their life and future more readily to mortal man than to an omnipotent God. Cautious with a boisterous man who lobbies your dependence in them rather than the Lord (Psa 118:8).  Before you trust in the wisdom of man, consider you have access to Him who created man. There’s no storm God won’t carry you through. No bridge He won’ help you cross. No battle He won’t help you win.

One who directs you in the Lord’s wisdom and not their own, is worth your investment… HSAY

Daily Wisdom

1 Thess 1:9b “… how ye turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God.”

One only turns to what they can trust, and only trust in what they believe and know to be true.

For most Christians this is the stumbling block, a lack of truth equals a lack of trust (faith) to “turn to God.”

Only God can turn a mess into a message, a test into a testimony, a trial into triumph, and a victim into a victory.

But God can only turn such burdens into blessings when we turn from the idols (worldly resources) we’re prone put our trust in.

God declared in Hosea 4:6, that we are destroyed for a lack of and rejection of knowledge.

Needless to say, ignorance is not bliss!

Pro 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”

When one finds God’s truths, they build trust, and then they have something worth turning to!
