“And he
kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord lay not this sin to their
charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.” Acts 7:60
How
much heat can your witness bear? Stephen
during his own death, though he was unable to persuade them during his defense,
was willing to plea for his accusers before the throne. Stephen was
instrumental in the birth of the N.T. church which lead to the eventual
conversion of Paul who was personally involved in disputing against Stephen and
casting judgement upon him. Know that it’s
your story/witness that can be the key to unlocking someone else’s prison. Paul
had to recount Stephen’s plea to heaven at his stoning when he faced Jesus on
the Damascus road leading to his conversion. You may feel your story is a mess, but with
Jesus it becomes a message of hope for others if you’re willing to bear it. Don’t let your witness define you as a victim,
but rather a testimony to the victory in Jesus. We’re called to be a witness, not a judge to
another’s willingness to believe. Don’t let the stones in life sour your
willingness to share the promise of our Saviour.
Testimony:
Bear it, Mean it, and Live it!
