Exo 1:17 “But
the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but
saved the men children alive.”
A
moment matters. Often a decision of righteousness produces a miracle moment in
which eternal rewards come forth. Characters such as Moses often garner praise
and attention when it comes to God’s work in their lives, and rightly so. But,
truth be known the greatest miracle occurred so far behind the scene, names
unknown, that it’s seen as unimportant, yet it was a miracle. The widow lady
who feed Elijah (1 Kg 17) with such limited resources she couldn’t provide for her
son and herself. And, yet in her moment she was faithful to God’s purpose towards
His prophet. This woman, the midwives choose in their moment a humble response
to God that mattered eternally. The greatest of works done through Moses and
Elijah only occurred by humble obedience in a moment that mattered. When your moments come make them matter
eternally, and leave the revealing of them to God.
Miracles
come in moments, be ready and willing to make them matter!
