2Th 1:3 “We are bound to thank God always for you,
brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the
charity (Love) of every one of you all toward each other
aboundeth;
Ever found yourself by way of a sermon, book or another
Christian, challenged to strengthen your faith?
It’s common to focus on our relationship with God, but less
apt to focus on our outward expression of our faith, which is love. To grow in faith,
we must realize that true faith produces the fruit of love. (Jn 13:35)
Paul understood that the church of Thessalonica was
increasing in their faith by evidence that their love one for another was
increasing. Paul told Timothy that he is to love from a pure heart, good conscience
and a sincere faith (1 Tim 1:5).
Our faith is ultimately grounded in God who showed His great
love towards us through the Son and the cross (Rom 5:10). Unfortunately, in
this hateful, attacking, slanderous filled world many outside the church see those
of proclaimed faith condemning and judgmental… not fruits of the spirit (Gal
6).
Our greatest testimony should be illustrated through our
love towards a world who is missing the greatest love that’s available to all.
And when that love of God is offered and displayed, it’s the best example of
faith, allowing others to see the God who is Love! (1 Jn 4:8)
Love is a gift of God, pay it forward!
