“… wine
mixed with water.” Isa 1:22
Judah had lost its influence as a nation. Once faithful
& righteous in its judgment (vs 21), was now described by Isaiah as harlot given
into worldly influence. Their faith had become impure, worthless and diluted,
as “wine mixed with water.” Don’t let worldly opposition influence or
dilute your faith. Remember a kite fly’s the highest against the wind. Kites
don’t fly in spite of the opposition; kites fly because of the opposition. In
fact, they can’t fly without it.
Our greatest opposition often comes from within, when by
faith we either hold to the Word or the world… (HSAY)
