“Now the Syrians on one of their raids had carried off
a little girl from the land of Israel, and she worked in the service of
Naaman's wife. She said to her mistress, “Would that my lord were with the
prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy.” (2 Kg
5:2)
Interesting the very people Naaman attacked was his only
hope for being cured. And it came at the direction of a young girl who would appear
just in being bitter concerning what was taken from her. Yet, while this very
young girl never got all she wanted she gave all she had. And God was so impressed that He recorded
what she gave despite her circumstances.
It’s one thing to serve out of abundance and completely different challenge
to serve during affliction.
It’s not what you take out of life but what you give to it
that’s of real value… HSAY
