“ARISE, SHINE; for thy light is come and the
glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the
earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and
his glory shall be seen upon thee.” Isa 60:1-2
If
“the reflective” is to be seen as a source of hope, it is one in which the
viewer becomes the author, because without a viewer acknowledging it’s source
it’s impossible to discern that something, or even the nothing, that is
there. What do you reflect for others to
see? What source radiates from your being that others are able to
acknowledge? Just as the “Sun (Christ) of righteousness” (Mal 4:2) puts forth it’s light, man who offers
no light, like the moon, has nothing to offer but a reflection of the “SUN” that shines on it. So, what type of
reflection is seen in you, a full moon or is there just a sliver of light in
your life reflecting Christ? Just as a
full moon draws your attention, and offers light in darkness; so does the
fullness of Christ in your life offer hope and light in another’s dark life. The
reflection seen in one’s life is not always resourceful.
Consuming
God’s word without reflecting it is like eating without digesting it!
